What Happened

San Antonio Police have information on a crash that injured two people at Bitters Rd in San Antonio, TX on November 7th, 2021. Around 2 a.m., a Chevrolet Silverado headed eastbound on N Loop 1604 is said to have struck a curb during a turn at the intersection with Bitters Rd. It then crashed into a center median light pole before traveling over the median into northbound lanes while headed southbound. Investigators say the truck traveled the wrong direction for around 785 feet before crashing head-on into a Honda Civic. The driver of the Civic, a 22-year-old man, and a 21-year-old female passenger were both seriously injured. The Silverado driver was also seriously injured and found to have been intoxicated. Police say he will be charged with two counts of Intoxication Assault.
