What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a collision that injured two people at I-10 and Walden Rd in Beaumont, TX on August 4th, 2021. Officials say the incident happened around 3:04 p.m. A northbound tractor-trailer operated by a 57-year-old Monterey, LA man is said to have performed an unsafe lane change. In doing so, it sideswiped a Honda Accord with two passengers, causing the Honda to lose control and crash into a barrier wall. The two occupants suffered minor injuries while the truck driver was not injured. Police issued him an Unsafe Lane Change citation.
