What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a two-vehicle crash that injured a pair of teens at US 77 in Victoria County, TX on January 4th, 2022. Police are saying it happened around 5:45 a.m. A tractor-trailer operated by a 43-year-old Victoria, TX man was stopped at the intersection of US 77 and Blue Quail Court. Investigators allege the truck failed to yield right of way when pulling way from the stop sign and turned into the path of a Chevrolet Suburban. The Suburban reportedly attempted evasive action prior to the vehicles colliding and the impact caused it to overturn. The 17-year-old driver and his 16-year-old female passenger were both injured. The truck driver was not injured.
