What Happened

Houston Police are investigating a crash that injured a person at FM 1942 in Crosby, TX on October 16th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 11:10 p.m. A pickup truck operated by Omar Ortiz Hernandez is accused of crashing into a sedan that was backing out of a driveway. A passenger in the sedan was ejected and died at the scene. The driver of the sedan was also killed. Hernandez is accused of being intoxicated at the time of the collision and also allegedly admitted to consuming alcohol prior to the crash. He has since been charged with Driving While Intoxicated.
