What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a person at I-35 and Felix St in Fort Worth, TX on January 6th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 12:28 p.m. A Kia Forte operated by 23-year-old Tymillian Shamond Henderson was headed southbound on South Fwy when investigators say it changed lanes and made contact with a tractor-trailer. Following this, it then went into a spin before striking a van and coming to stop in the southbound lanes. Henderson was seriously injured in the crash as well as a 1-year-old passenger. A 22-year-old and 21-year-old passenger were both treated for minor injuries. The driver of the van, a 40-year-old Dallas woman, was evaluated for possible injuries. The truck driver was not injured.
