Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at Old Smithville Rd in Fayette County, TX on April 28th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 1:02 a.m. According to investigators, a Jeep Cherokee operated by 23-year-old Valentino Ramirez was headed northbound on North Old Smithville Rd when it veered from the road into a tree and fence. The vehicle overturned and Ramirez was seriously injured. Officers allege suspicion that Ramirez was intoxicated while driving.
