Officials believe the incident happened around 8:45 p.m. According to investigators, a vehicle headed southbound on Preston Rd is alleged to have failed to control its speed prior to colliding with a Lexus RX 350 stopped for a traffic signal. Following the collision, reports claim the suspect vehicle fled the area without stopping to render aid. Officials say the driver of the Lexus, identified as 67-year-old Victoria Evulukwu, was seriously injured.
