What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a person at FM 308 in Hill County, TX on June 23rd, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 6:20 p.m. According to investigators, a Ford F-350 operated by a 35-year-old Elm Mott was headed southbound on FM 308 while allegedly overtaking and passing without clearance. It was then struck by a Mazda that went into a roll and ejected the driver, 49-year-old Vincent Don Thomas, from the vehicle. Thomas suffered serious injuries while the other driver was not injured. Reports indicate the Elm Mott man was cited for Improper Driver License for Type of Vehicle and Pass-Insufficient Clearance.
