What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials have information on a crash that injured a man at Hwy 69 near Colmesneil, TX on November 22nd, 2021. Police say an 18-wheeler traveling southbound reportedly lost cargo that fell into the path of the motorcycle traveling behind the truck. The bike then lost control after striking the cargo, veering into the path of Chevrolet car and causing both to collide. The motorcyclist, 51-year-old Walter Tant, was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. The driver of the car, a 16-year-old male, was not injured. The 18-wheeler and its driver reportedly have not yet been identified or located by police.
