What Happened

Tyler Police have located a man reported missing last year following an accident at State Loop 571 in Tyler, TX on or around October 26th, 2021. Police say that 65-year-old Wayne Clay was found deceased in a vehicle in a wooded area after being reported missing in October 2021. Investigators believe his vehicle went past a posted stop sign into a ditch before crashing into an embankment and flipping into the wooded area. The area is not visible from the road and Clay's was discovered in January 2021 by a property owner. Additional details were not available.
