Area authorities have information on a crash that led to the death of a driver at TX 63 in Zavalla, TX on December 8th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 5:20 p.m. A tractor-trailer hauling a mobile home was headed eastbound on Hwy 63 when it reportedly served into a westbound lane to avoid colliding with tree branches extending onto the roadway. In the process, the truck collided with a Ford Crown Victoria operated by 82-year-old William Lee. Lee was hospitalized with serious injuries that he died from one week later. The other driver, a 39-year-old Greenville man, was not injured. Additional information was not available.
