What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a woman at Business 20 and Country Club Dr in Odessa, TX on August 26th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 11:13 p.m. A pickup truck operated by a 29-year-old McCamey, TX man was in a parking lot with a 22-year-old woman. The McCamey man entered the truck to leave the parking lot and the pedestrian fell to the ground when the truck drove away, striking her in the process. She suffered serious injuries and the driver was charged with Intoxication Assault with a Vehicle. Police say the woman had also allegedly been drinking.
