What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured a woman at I-35 and W Southcross Blvd in San Antonio, TX on April 12th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 10:23 p.m. According to investigators, a Toyota Matrix head northbound is said to have struck a center median before the driver left the scene, leaving this disabled Toyota in a center lane. Police say an approaching tour bus swerved in order to avoid a collision with the Toyota and instead struck a Chevrolet Silverado. The collision caused that vehicle to lost control and overturn, leavening a 26-year-old passenger in the Silverado seriously injured. Reports indicate the driver of the Matrix, identified as Eric Perez, allegedly faces charges that include intoxication assault and failure to stop and render aid.
