Police say the incident happened around 10:42 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Camaro was east bound on Calumet Ave before turning right onto Preston St. Police say the vehicle veered from the road in the turn and collided with a fence and several trees. The crash left a 37-year-old passenger in the vehicle, who was not publicly identified, seriously injured, according to police. The driver, a 37-year-old man who was not publicly identified, had less serious injuries, police say. Reports indicate the man was allegedly arrested on a Driving While Intoxicated charge.
