What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a woman at US 84 in Coleman County, TX on August 5th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 8:43 a.m. A Ford F-150 operated by a 23-year-old Albany, TX woman was traveling south on US 84 with active warning lights behind a disabled vehicle at a slow rate of speed. A Hino box truck operated by a 52-year-old San Antonio man approached the vehicle and failed to control its speed, colliding with the rear of the Ford and pushing it from the road. The Ford overturned into a ditch and over a fence, causing the Albany woman minor injuries. The San Antonio man was evaluated for possible injuries and charged with Failure to Control Speed.
