What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at I-35E in Dallas, TX on July 3rd, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 11:45 p.m. According to investigators, a Pontiac Solstice is alleged to have failed to control its speed prior to colliding with the rear of a GMC Envoy.  The collision is said to have caused the Pontiac to lose control and collided with a Dodge Ram 3500 in an adjacent lane. Following the collision, reports say the driver of the Pontiac fled the scene on-foot. Authorities say the driver of the GMC, identified as 22-year-old Yamilet Morales, was seriously injured. Additional information was not immediately available.
