Police are investigating a crash that injured a driver at US 183 in Leander, TX on August 29th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 1:16 p.m. According to investigators, a GMC headed southbound is alleged to have failed to remain in its lane before colliding with a Chrysler waiting to make a westbound turn. Reports indicate the driver of the Chrysler, identified as 60-year-old Yanhua Gao, was seriously injured. A 64-year-old passenger, who was not publicly identified, allegedly had less serious injuries. The other driver, also not publicly identified, had possible, unconfirmed injuries. Sources indicate that driver was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.
