What Happened

Virginia State Police are investigating a crash that killed a man at Route 522 in Culpeper, VA on September 6th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 8:57 a.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer headed southbound before braking for another vehicle ahead stopping to turn left. While braking, officials believe the truck lost control and crossed a double solid line before colliding with a northbound Honda Accord. The Honda, operated by 27-year-old Andrew Huddleston, was pushed from the road into a fence. Huddleston suffered fatal injuries at the scene. The truck operator, identified as 42-year-old Edwin J. Bustillo-Lagos, had suspected minor injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
