Authorities are investigating a crash that killed at least two people at I-85 in Dinwiddie County, VA on May 31st, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 7:45 a.m. According to investigators, multiple vehicles were involved in a collision that occurred when a tractor-trailer allegedly failed to slow for traffic and collided with the rear of one of the vehicles. Reports indicate 58-year-old Robert Edward Bass and 53-year-old Amanda Norton Bass were fatally injured. 48-year-old Jone Brandon Edwards and 38-year-old Jason Snead had serious injuries. 40-year-old Jame Nicole Barfield had non-life-threatening injuries.
