What Happened

Washington State Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed a person at  I-5 in Tacoma, WA on March 18th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 7:47 a.m. Investigators say a semi-truck operated by a 65-year-old St Louis man was headed northbound on I-5 when it collided with a vehicle occupied by 54-year-old Dung T. Nguyen, who died at the scene. The impact caused a serious of crashes that injured four others. The driver of the semi-truck was arrested on suspicion of vehicular homicide, vehicular assault and driving under the influence.
