What Happened

California Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed a man on SR 99 near 7th Standard Rd in Bakersfield, CA on February 7th, 2019. Officials say a Toyota pick up truck travelling at a high rate of speed lost control and collided into the rear of a semi-truck. The driver, a 27-year-old man from Delano, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi-truck was not injured.
