What Happened

Colorado State Patrol officials are investigating a crash that injured three people on Hwy 6 in Haxtun, CO on February 6th, 2019. Terry Vigil, John Steffes and Barbara Steffes were injured in the crash. Police say the accident occurred when a pickup truck driving by Vigil crossed into the path of an SUV driven by John Steffes. The two vehicles collided head-on. All three were hospitalized with serious injuries after the crash. Vigil was later cited for careless driving causing bodily injury.
