What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed one person and injured four others on January 27th, 2019 in St. Petersburg, FL. Police say the accident occurred when a taxi driven by 47-year-old David Yancey struck another vehicle, causing a chain collision. A passenger in the taxi, 40-year-old Heather Scozzaro, was killed in the accident. The drivers of two of the vehicles involved were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Yancey was hospitalized with serious injuries.
