Florida Highway Patrol officials identified the person killed in a collision at  SW 27th St and 15th Ave in Gainesville, FL on September 9th, 2019. Officials say the incident happened around 8:40 p.m. A vehicle driven by 30-year-old Dewayne Myrick collided with 57-year-old William Shanks Jr as he walked along the road. Shanks Jr died from his injuries.
