What Happened

State Police are currently investigating a multi-vehicle crash that injured several people, including at least one child, at I-65 in Jasper County, IN on March 13th, 2023. According to police, it began around 1:30 a.m. Investigators say a tractor-trailer was involved in a rollover crash that occurred under unclear circumstances. This caused a traffic backup that continued into the 5 a.m. hour. Around 5:45 a.m., while traffic was stopped, a box truck allegedly failed to control its speed and collided with the rear of a Subaru ahead. That caused the Subaru to hit a Toyota Tundra and that vehicle to hit a tractor-trailer. The Subaru driver needed emergency extrication from the vehicle, according to authorities, before they were transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. A 4-year-old in the Toyota and his parents were also hospitalized. The box truck operated was said to be uninjured. Also believed to be uninjured was the tractor-trailer driver. Information related to any possible charges was not available.

If that's not enough information, you might need an Open Records Packet. An ORP is essentially all evidence that the authorities have collected. It usually contains photos, witness statements, measurements, and more and goes way beyond the police report.
