What Happened

State Police are investigating a crash that killed a man at I-10 near Slidell, LA on January 1st, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 12:40 a.m. according to investigators, an EMS vehicle collided with the rear of a box truck under unclear circumstances. Police say the area was covered in dense fog that may have played a factor in the crash. An EMT in the ambulance, identified as 36-year-old John Mitchell Crow, suffered fatal injuries.
