What Happened

Platte County Sheriff's officers released the name of the man killed in a semi-truck crash on Hwy 30 near Duncan, NE on January 16th, 2019. 58-year-old Charles Matthies was killed when his vehicle crossed a center line and collided with an oncoming semi-truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi-truck, 32-year-old Nathan Fischer, was not injured.
