What Happened

State Police are investigating a crash hat killed a person at I-287 in Rye, NY on December 27th, 2022. Police say the incident happened as a box truck operated by 65-year-old Richard Bradwell was reportedly stopped in or near the road for unknown reasons. Bradwell was standing outside the vehicle and was struck by another truck headed eastbound after it veered from the road. Bradwell was taken to an area hospital with injuries he later died from. A passenger in the box truck, 62-yer-old Jane Murray, was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. A second passenger from the other driver, 26-year-old Kevin Roman, as well as the driver, 57-year-old Israel Velez, were both hospitalized with minor injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
