What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a man at I-75 in Lima, OH on September 4th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 12:30 p.m. According to police, a semi-truck headed southbound on I-75 collided with at least eight other vehicles as it approached traffic that was due to a separate, unrelated accident. A rear seat passenger in one of the vehicles, identified as 64-year-old Joseph Schwarz, died in the crash. 21 others suffered injuries. Police say 10 of those individuals were hospitalized and the other 11 were treated at the scene. Additional details were not available.
