What Happened

Tennessee Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed two semi-truck drivers on I-40 in Hickman County, TN on January 24th, 2019. 58-year-old Johnny Smith and 44-year-old Muriz Smajic were both killed in the crash. Police say the accident occurred when one semi-truck lost control, went through a construction zone barrier and a median before colliding with another semi-truck.
