What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured two people at Taylor St in Amarillo, TX on November 13th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 12:35 a.m. According to investigators a Honda CR-V operated by 20-year-old Jonathan Jimenez was headed southbound on Taylor St as a Toyota Rav-4 operated by 21-year-old Andy Polanco was headed westbound on SW 6th Ave. Police say the two vehicles collided at the intersection under unclear circumstances and the impact caused the Toyota to overturn. Polanco suffered minor injuries while Jimenez was more seriously injured and arrested on a recommended charge of Driving Under the Influence.
