What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a person at North Texas Blvd in Weslaco, TX on October 29th, 2022.  Police say the incident happened around 2:27 a.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Silverado operated by 23-year-old Lorenzo Isidro Abrego was headed southbound in the northbound lanes before colliding head-on with a Kia Rio. An occupant of the Kia, 38-year-old Arnulfo Arizmendi, was hospitalized with serious injuries. Abrego was charged with intoxication assault with a vehicle, accident involving serious bodily injury and accident involved damage to a vehicle.
