What Happened

Dallas Police are investigating a crash that killed a bicyclist at Kleberg Rd and Handlin St in Dallas, TX on September 11th, 2022. Police say the incident involved an SUV colliding with a bicyclist traveling southbound on Kleberg Road. The SUV struck the cyclist from the rear before the vehicle briefly stopped and one occupant of the vehicle exited. Police say that individual returned to the SUV and the SUV left the scene, leaving the bicyclist behind with injuries he later died from. He was later identified as Billy Watley. Officials later located the suspect vehicle and a person of interest involved. Additional information was not immediately available.
