Police say the incident happened around 9:01 p.m. According to investigators, a Dodge Ram 1500 was eastbound on Coronado Hills before colliding with the rear of a mobility scooter. Following the collision, reports say the Dodge left the scene of the incident, leaving an 8-year-old child riding on the scooter with her mother, seriously injured. Reports indicate the driver of the Dodge, who was not publicly identified was later located and charged with Intoxication Assault.
