What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a person at Caesar Chavez Rd in San Juan, TX on March 12th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 8:43 p.m. Police say a Chevrolet Silverado was traveling southbound prior to the vehicle losing control for unknown reasons and veering from the road. It overturn, ejecting a passenger before landing on the passenger. The passenger, identified as 51-year-old Gerardo Medina, died at the scene. The driver, identified as 46-year-old Norma Munoz, was taken into custody on an intoxication manslaughter charge, according to police. Police did not have any additional information to disclose.
