What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured two people at US 380 in Denton, TX on March 3rd, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 10:30 p.m. According to investigators, a Toyota Avalon operated by 35-year-old Bradley Johnson was southbound on Thomas J Egan Rd. Headed eastbound on US 380 in a center lane was a Honda Civic operated by a 17-year-old driver. Officers allege the Toyota failed to yield at a stop sign before colliding with the Honda at the intersection. The impact caused the Toyota to spin into a utility pole, seriously injuring 30-year-old passenger, Natalie Carr. Also seriously injured were two child passengers. Both Johnson and the 17-year-old had less serious injuries, according to police. They add that a 47-year-old passenger in the Honda, Gloria Cosme, was one of three passengers evaluated for possible injuries. Officers recommended DWI with Child Passenger and Abandoning or Endangering Child charges.
