What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a person at I-20 in Eastland County, TX on November 24th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 1 a.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Silverado K1500 operated by 25-year-old Alfredo Ariza was traveling eastbound on I-20 approaching a curve in the road way. The vehicle is said to have performed a lane change into a passing lane before traveling into a median and going into a skid. This caused the vehicle to overturn multiple times, partially ejecting a passenger from the vehicle. The passenger, identified as 40-year-old Guadalupe Ariza, was killed. Ariza had serious injuries and officers recommended and/or issued a charge for Intoxication Manslaughter.
