What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a person at Wilson Rd in Harris County, TX on August 28th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 11:50 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Malibu operated by 21-year-old Jonathan Martinez Gallegos was headed northbound on Wilson Rd prior to veering from its lane. It veered northeast into a northbound lane, rotating into a curb and through a northeast field. It hit a wooden pole, causing it to overturn and ejecting a passenger from the vehicle. The passenger, identified as 39-year-old Guadalupe Palacios, suffered serious injuries. Gallegos was less seriously injured and officers recommended and/or issued an Intoxication Assault charge.
