Police say the incident happened around 5:57 p.m. According to investigators, a Honda Fit operated by 60-year-old Janet Lynn Mullins washing westbound on Hwy 82 at the time. For uncertain reasons, the vehicle veered from the road into an eastbound shoulder before colliding with multiple trees and ultimately ending up in a nearby creek. Police were able to extricate Mullins from the vehicle and say she had injuries believed to be serious. Additional information was not available.
