What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that left Jeffrey Burton injured at US 69 in Grayson County, TX on December 22nd, 2022. Officials say the incident happened around 2:42 a.m. According to investigators, a Ford E250 van operated by an unnamed 31-year-old Denison woman, was headed northbound on US 69. Headed southbound was a Chevrolet HHR operated by 61-year-old Jeffrey Burton. Police say the Ford allegedly began traveling on the wrong side of the road and ended up colliding with the Chevrolet. The impact pushed the Chevrolet into a ditch, seriously injuring Burton. The van overturned in the collision, leaving the Denison man with non-life-threatening injuries. Officers recommended and/or issued charged for DWI and Aggravated Assault W/Deadly Weapon against the Denison man.
