What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a person at I-45 in Houston, TX on December 18th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 2:34 a.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Suburban was going southbound on I-45 as was a Chevrolet Equinox. Officers suspect that one of the two vehicles may have performed an unsafe lane change leading to the Equinox losing control. It hit. concrete barrier before spinning and hitting the Suburban. The Suburban struck a nearby Ford F-150 as a result. The driver of the Equinox, identified as 27-year-old Juan Soto Franco, was killed in the crash. Passengers in both vehicles were evaluated for possible injuries. Additional information was not provided.
