What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured three people at I-30 in Garland, TX on May 20th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 9:23 p.m. According to investigators, a Jeep Wrangler operated by 37-year-old Damon Hernandez was headed westbound before the vehicle lost control and collided with the rear of a Chevrolet Camaro operated by 54-year-old Kelvin Harrison. Both Harrison and his passenger, 49-year-old Danielle Harrison, suffered injuries believed to be non-life-threatening in nature. Hernandez was more seriously injured, according to police. Officers recommend and/or issued a Driving While Intoxicated charge against the operator of the Jeep.
