What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials released the name of the person killed in a semi-truck accident at that FM-1798 and US-79 intersection in Rusk County, TX on January 12th, 2019. Lajuan Fisher Rice was killed when her vehicle attempted to cross the intersection and was struck by a semi-truck. Rice was pronounced dead at the hospital. The driver of the truck, 48-year-old Adrian Roland, was not injured.
