What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that killed a driver at On the Beach Rd in Port Aransas, TX on April 8th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 8:25 p.m. According to investigators, a Ford Ranger was northbound before allegedly traveling onto a Jetty before veering into a sand hill and traveling into a ship channel. The driver, identified as 58-year-old Lynna Koehn, was not able to exit the vehicle and suffered fatal injuries. A passenger in the vehicle, age 54 and not publicly identified, is said to have suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
