What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash at US 87 in San Angelo, TX on April 17th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 12:37 a.m. Officers believe a Chevrolet Malibu operated by 38-year-old Justin Duke allegedly ran a red light at the intersection with Ave L, colliding with a southbound Chevrolet Tahoe. The operator of the Tahoe, a 23-year-old male who was not publicly identified, suffered serious injuries. Police say Duke also had injuries believed to be serious in nature and recommended and/or issued a Driving While Intoxicated charge.
