What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at FM 1448 in Franklin County, TX on March 17th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 4:45 p.m. According to investigators, a GMC Sierra K3500 was eastbound when cargo in the truck bed is said to have fallen out and struck an eastbound motorcycle. The impact is said to have caused the motorcycle to fall onto its side, the incident leaving 32-year-old operator, Matthew Kirkland, seriously injured and hospitalized. The other driver, was not injured, reports say. Additional information was not available.
