What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a pedestrian at Beach St in Haltom City, TX on February 11th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 10:17 p.m. Investigators say a Ford F-150 operated by an unnamed 54-year-old Fort Worth man was headed southbound at the time. 44-year-old Michael Newberry was traveling on-foot, crossing the road from east to west as the Ford approached. Police currently allege that Newberry may have failed to yield to the approaching Ford as he crossed, causing him to be struck by the vehicle. The impact from the collision is believed to have left Newberry with fatal injuries. No other details have yet to be provided.
