What Happened

Milan County Sheriff's Office authorities responded to a crash that killed a person at FM 485 in Milan County, TX on January 9th, 2023. Police say the crash occurred around 8:30 p.m. Officers allege a Volvo SUV headed westbound on FM 485 passed when unsafe to do so, crossing into a eastbound lane. It traveled into the path of an eastbound Ford F-350, the two colliding in the process and the Volvo caught fire as a result. The driver of the Volvo, a21-year-old Houston woman, was unable to exit the vehicle and suffered fatal injuries. Additional details were not provided.
