What Happened

Area authorities have information on a crash that killed a driver at President George Bush Turnpike in Irving, TX on November 18th, 2022. Officials are saying it happened around 2:07 a.m. According to investigators, a Jeep Cherokee operated by 31-year-old Duranda Bird was headed southbound in the northbound lanes of the tollway. At the same time, a Dodge Ram 1500 operated by 32-year-old Roger Quinn Jr was traveling northbound when the Jeep collided with the Dodge. The vehicles caught fire in the crash, leaving Bird with fatal injuries. Quinn was seriously injured. Officers expressed suspicion of alcohol involvement with the crash.
