What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed three teens at County Rd 1 in Gray County, TX on October 18th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 2:15 a.m. A Chevrolet Silverado truck headed northbound on County Road 1 was reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed when it lost control and veered from the road. It then overturned multiple times, ejecting three people ages 13, 13, and 12 from the vehicle. They died at the scene. A third 13-year-old was hospitalized with serious injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
